BE06 - Sphalerite. Shuikoushan mine, Changning Co., Hengyan, Hunan, China
Group highly brilliant crystals of Sphalerite with excellent color and transparency. The glossy crystals are on matrix of quartz showing a great and very nice contrast. Some Sphalerites from
China are very similar to the ones from Aliva, Spain, but normally the transparency and luster are not as good. Exceptionally in a few cases the quality is very similar or maybe even better than
the Spanish ones. That is the case with this beautiful specimen, and the photo clearly shows its great quality, and how it stands out from the Quartz matrix.
