Group of well formed flattened prismatic crystals of Calcite with hexagonal shapes and a marked zoning, these Calcites are known as "sandwich Calcites". Disposed on matrix of dark grey limestone. The tabular crystals have a translucent zone sandwiched between two milky white zones. Under long wave UV light this form of Calcite is highly fluorescent with a beautiful rich orange glow. Aerial group of well formed rhombohedral crystals of Dolomite forming interpenetration twins and disposed on matrix. The Dolomite crystals are completely transparent with high luster. These kinds of twins have been historically very appreciated by collectors.
