BM08 - Sphalerite. Shuikoushan mine, Changning Co., Hengyan, Hunan, China
Highly brilliant crystals of Sphalerite with excellent color and transparency. The glossy
crystals are on matrix of quartz showing a great and very nice contrast. Some Sphalerites from China are very similar to the ones from Aliva, Spain, but normally the transparency and luster are
not as good. Exceptionally in a few cases the quality is very similar or maybe even better than the Spanish ones. That is the case with this beautiful specimen, and the photo clearly shows its
great quality, and how it stands out from the Quartz matrix.

BM18 - Fluorite. Mahodari, Sinnar, Nashik, Maharashtra, India
A perfect, totally pristine, translucent, 3 cm ball of botryoidal "fried-egg"-looking fluorite is perched on a matrix of Quartz points. The quality of this specimen is really excellent with an isolated fluorite ball of such clarity, and prominence stuck out from the matrix. Botryoidal fluorite is rare in nature, coming from only a few locations in spite of the worldwide abundance of the specie. This is a very choice example of this habit, which really only started to appear on the market from a new zone hit about 7 years ago. Botryoidal Fluorite specimens are scarce and hard to find at a reasonable price. A wonderful addition to your mineral collection. For further info about these Fluorites you can click on the following link, Mindat ball Fluorites.
